PATIENT CARE TECH FOR NURSING STUDENTS

+ Education
+ Skills and proficiency in oral and written grammar, communication, and basic mathematics as acquired through official completion of high school or its equivalent. Ability to perform support activities in patient care as acquired through completion of an approved Vo-Tech program and certified as a Nurse Aide through the Office of Long Term Care or after completion of a minimum of one semester of an RN/LPN program with a nursing skills checklist completed by their nursing instructor. Candidates must be currently enrolled in an approved program to utilize the RN/LPN Nursing Student Skills Checklist. A year of PCT experience within the acute care setting will be considered in lieu of formal training.
