Patient Collections Specialist

About the Role
We are looking for a Patient Collections Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team. The ideal candidate has experience in healthcare billing, insurance follow-ups, and patient collections. You will be responsible for managing patient accounts, handling payment reminders, and ensuring accurate and timely collection of balances.
Key Responsibilities
Contact patients regarding outstanding balances in a professional and courteous manner
Review and reconcile patient accounts for accuracy
Post payments and maintain records of transactions
Coordinate with insurance companies and billing teams for claim status or discrepancies
Respond to patient inquiries and assist in resolving billing issues
Meet monthly collection targets and maintain performance metrics
Qualifications
At least 1 year of experience in Patient Collections, Medical Billing, or RCM
Familiarity with EHR systems or billing software (e.g., Kareo, AdvancedMD, Athena,...
