Job Title

Essential Functions

• Greets patients waiting for an appointment. Screens log to determine priority.
• Evaluates patient's inquiry to assess opportunities of request and how situation should be handled.
• Accesses information through use of billing system and interprets information.
• Advises patients of their financial responsibilities. Requests payment upon resolution of inquiry.
• Refers complex problems to appropriate individuals/areas.
• Documents patient inquiry and action taken in notes.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience: High school graduate with a minimum of two years experience part of which has been in a collection function. Ability to assess complex situations where multiple options are available and decide upon the best course of action.
