Job Description
Description We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to support accurate and timely payroll operations for a large employee population in Portland, Maine. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is confident managing end-to-end payroll activities across multiple states while maintaining compliance and a high level of accuracy. The role requires strong experience with payroll platforms and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Process complete payroll cycles for a workforce of more than 500 employees, ensuring pay is issued accurately and on schedule.
• Administer payroll activities for employees working in multiple states, applying the correct tax withholdings and jurisdictional requirements.
