Payroll Tax Analyst

We have an outstanding Contract position for aPayroll Tax Analystto join a leading Company located in theReston, VAsurrounding area.


The Analyst is responsible for maintaining the general ledger in accordance with US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and performing a full range of accounting tasks with respect to US payroll.


Responsibilities :

+ Assists with the month-end/year-end close in support of US Accounting

+ Creates weekly and semi-monthly general ledger journal entries

+ Assists with General Ledger mapping issues for new hires and transfers

+ Assists with General Ledger account reconciliations, including balance sheets and income statement accounts

+ Assists with prepaid and accrual account reconciliations

+ Assists with general ledger postings to field units

+ Prepares payroll reports requested by field accounting and other departments
