Pediatric Palliative Care Physician

Mayo Clinic Children’s Section of Pediatric Palliative Care is recruiting a full-time physician to join our team in shaping the future of pediatric palliative care. The Section of Pediatric Palliative Care provides inpatient, outpatient, and perinatal palliative care as part of the interdisciplinary ComPASS Care Team. Physicians on the deliver pediatric palliative care services alongside an interdisciplinary group that includes four physicians, one nurse practitioner, two nurses, two social workers, and one chaplain.

Care focuses on pain and symptom management, goals-of-care consultations, and psychosocial support for patients across the Neonatal, Pediatric, and Cardiovascular ICUs, as well as general hospital services. This includes standardized support for pediatric heart and bone marrow transplantation, patients on chronic invasive ventilation and ECMO, and intensive palliative oncology care prioritizing pain and symptom management.
