The Department of Surgery at this prestigious school of medicine on the Gulf Coast is currently seeking a BE/BC surgeon who has completed a fellowship in pediatric surgery. Academic rank is open to the Assistant Professor level and will be commensurate with training, experience, and academic productivity. candidates for a faculty position.
The successful candidate will have a keen interest in academic surgery in the areas of patient care and medical education. Duties will include inpatient care at the woman and children s hospital, the primary referral center for the region, and teaching medical students and residents. Successful candidates will interact with an interdisciplinary team of health care professionals dealing with a broad range of pediatric surgery cases.
