Personnel Security Specialist

Summary This position is part of the Department of Energy's Office of the Chief Human Capital Office, Office of HR Operations and Client Services (OHROCS). As a Personnel Security Specialist, you will support the personnel security and vetting program by processing security clearance requests, suitability determinations and access requests. You will also review background investigations, derogatory or conflicting data, and maintain data accuracy in tracking programs such as DISS to ensure compliance. Responsibilities As a Full Performance GS-12 Personnel Security Specialist, you will: Manage Personnel Security Files (PSFs), ensuring their accuracy and accountability, and prescreen clearance and Personal Identity Verification (PIV) requests for completeness.
