Pharmacist

Responsibilities

• Prepare, dispense, and maintain proper use of medications.
• Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications as ordered by a healthcare provider, ensuring proper dosages and formulations.
• Advise patients on the correct usage of their medications, potential side effects, interactions with other drugs, and how to manage their health conditions.
• Provide information to patients and healthcare professionals about prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, and possible drug interactions.
• Monitor patients for any adverse effects or medication reactions, and make adjustments to prescriptions in consultation with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school is required. Some countries may also require a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy as a prerequisite.
