Responsibilities

• Medication Dispensing: Accurately dispense prescribed medications to patients, ensuring proper dosages and drug interactions are considered.
• Patient Counseling: Provide advice to patients on how to use medications safely and effectively, including potential side effects, dosage instructions, and storage requirements.
• Prescription Review: Examine prescriptions for completeness, accuracy, and legality. Verify prescriptions with physicians when needed.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) Degree: A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school is required.
• Internship or Externship: Practical experience through internships or externships during the Pharm.D. program.
