Pharmacy Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greeting customers, answering phones, assisting with non-prescription products, and directing complex questions to the pharmacist.
• Prescription Handling: Entering data, typing labels, preparing and packaging medications (under supervision), and bagging prescriptions for pickup.
• Inventory & Stock: Receiving, unpacking, organizing, and restocking medications and supplies; managing inventory counts.
• Administrative Duties: Operating cash registers, processing sales, managing patient files, handling emails/faxes, and general cleaning/organization.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Familiarity with pharmacy software and basic medical terminology.
• Good organizational and multitasking skills.
