Pharmacy Clerk

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager and working collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians, and assistants, the primary focus of the Pharmacy Clerk is to maintain prescription pick up and drop off areas to provide prompt and accurate processing of the customer / patient’s order. Provide clerical support to other pharmacy staff to ensure timely and courteous customer / patient service.

Principal Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Maintain a neat and organized customer service and pharmacy checkout area
• Accurately scan or enter product data
• Accurately account for cash, coupon and credit receipts, lottery and Be Well
• Ask for customer’s Be Well card during each transaction
• Answer inquiries regarding location of product, rain checks, refunds, promotions and Be Well
• Answer phone calls to provide information to customers and direct to the appropriate staff member if applicable
