Pharmacy Resident - Nova Southeasten University-Puerto Rico

Job Description

The primary practice site is the high-performing, patient-focused Walgreens Pharmacy in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The resident will receive training on chronic diseases such as diabetes, or hypertension. The residents will gain insight to medication management, medication reconciliation, and educational and behavioral counseling. The resident will also train at a community-based specialty pharmacy within a medical building. Pharmacists at this site work closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team servicing roughly 1,000 patients a month to optimize clinical outcomes. Longitudinal learning experience offer the resident the opportunity to practice continuously throughout the year with focus in direct special areas such as specialty pharmacy, medication and disease state management, routine and other immunizations and clinical practice management.
