Pharmacy Technician II

Position Information:

The Pharmacy Technician II performs specialized functions necessary to assist pharmacists in providing safe efficient friendly and cost-effective pharmacotherapy services. Specialized functions/areas include but are not limited to the following: sterile compounding controlled substance oversight pediatrics medication history patient assistance inventory control medstation maintenance unit inspection packaging and bedside discharge service. Utilizes requisite equipment non-sterile and/or compounding supplies and computer systems as appropriate for the procurement preparation for verification and/or delivery of medication. Performs quality control procedures and contributes to the maintenance of the pharmacy equipment and supplies.
