PhD Doctoral Researcher: WAAM Fatigue & Advanced Modelling

Aalto University Executive Education Oy is seeking a fully funded Doctoral Researcher to focus on fatigue modelling of Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) structures. This position is embedded in the EU-funded FATDED project and offers pivotal research opportunities.

The successful candidate will engage in identifying surface features in WAAM builds, investigating material properties, and developing models validated through experimentation. A Master's degree in a relevant field is required, along with a strong background in related disciplines.

The role offers a competitive salary ranging from 3,143 to 3,742 €/month and a hybrid work model primarily based on the Otaniemi campus in Espoo.
