Simulation of combustion systems on real applications such as engines or gas-turbines is an exceptionally computationally demanding problem. Access to cutting-edge supercomputers and the use of machine-learning with data-driven methods opens new frontiers in combustion simulation and encourages a revision of models and methodologies to harness the upcoming Exascale machines' full potential.
