Job Description

PhD Project – Numerical Methods for High-Performance Dynamic Simulation of Power Systems (f/m/d)

In cooperation with the Institute of Applied Mathematics at TU Delft, we are seeking a PhD candidate to develop advanced numerical methods for accelerating dynamic simulations of electrical power systems.

Your Tasks:

  • Research into new methodologies for high-performance dynamic simulation of hybrid DAEs in power-system contexts (EMT & RMS), including for example domain decomposition techniques.
  • Tackling challenging research questions at the interface of power-system simulation and applied mathematics.
  • Translating novel methods into robust, industry-ready software solutions.
  • Close cooperation and exchange with researchers at the Delft Institute of Applied Mathematics on the development and evaluation of new numerical techniques.
  • Collaboration with DIgSILENT’s S...
