PhD project on nuclear metabolism in tumour hypoxia
Academic PositionsJob Description
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join a joint KU Leuven UCLouvain doctoral programme investigating compartmentalised metabolism in tumour hypoxia, at the interface between nuclear metabolism, chromatin regulation, and single-cell epigenomics in cancer.
The candidate will be co-supervised by Dr. Roxane Verdikt and Prof. Bernard Thienpont (Laboratory for Functional Epigenetics, KU Leuven) and Prof. Guido Bommer (Metabolic Research Group, de Duve Institute, UCLouvain),
with research activities shared between both institutions. KU Leuven (Leuven) and UCLouvain (Brussels) are located approximately
30 minutes apart and offer access to a highly collaborative and internationally recognised biomedical research environment.
Project
The project will combine molecular and cellular biology, metabolic approaches, and functional genomics to study how tumour hypoxia reshapes nuclear metabolic pathways and epigenetic reg...
