Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

CIC energiGUNE is recruiting a predoctoral researcher to develop, adapt and validate recycling strategies for next-generation lithium-ion battery waste containing silicon–graphite anode materials, with a focus on both manufacturing scraps and end-of-life black mass (i.e end of life batteries).

Main job functions:

  • Develop and test lab-scale recycling routes using different physico-chemical separation processes for lithium-ion battery materials containing silicon–graphite anodes, including production scraps and black mass.

  • Carry out basic process optimization steps such as material pretreatment, delamination, leaching, purification and recovery of valuable battery materials.

  • Characterize recovered materials using common physicochemical and electrochemical techniques, in collaboration with specialized researchers when needed.

  • Analyze experimental results, prepare re...
