Photonics Assembly Engineer at Norcada

Norcada is seeking a Photonics Assembly Engineer to enhance our production capabilities in Edmonton, Canada. This full-time role involves the assembly and packaging of photonic devices while ensuring quality and efficiency.

As a Photonics Assembly Engineer, you'll tackle hands-on responsibilities that include both regular production and custom packaging for prototyping. A BSc or MSc in science or engineering is required, alongside skills in semiconductor devices and micro-electro-mechanical systems. Your work will impact high-tech applications in microscopy, sensing, and quantum science.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee assembly and packaging of photonic devices
• Manage custom packaging for prototyping needs
• Conduct performance and QC/QA tests
• Document production travelers and maintain organization
• Maintain a clean workspace aligned with lean principles
