Physician Assistant

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Physician Assistant will provide clinical services under the direct supervision of ED staff physicians and play a key role in supporting the patient experience. Expected duties and responsibilities will include:
Obtain health and social histories;
Conduct physical assessments and interpret findings;
Activate medical directives and complete preliminary interpretations of necessary diagnostic tests including but not limited to ECGs, laboratory tests, and diagnostic imaging;
Perform procedures such as ECG, casting, suturing, application of orthopedic devices, slit lamp examination, measuring intraocular pressure, visual acuity;
Formulate treatment plans and support appropriate connections to consultants, allied health, outpatient clinics and support any other services/special needs for the patient;
Documentation of patient encounters;
