Summary of Duties

The Neurosurgery Department seeks a certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) to join its well-established Neurosurgery program, to collaborate in the provision of clinical care, and to participate in quality improvement and patient safety processes. There is an existing active physician assistant training program throughout Sunnybrook HSC.

The PA staff is fully integrated into all components of departmental operations. The PA will function under a full set of medical directives, working in collaboration with a team of neurosurgeons, residents, trainees and a nurse practitioner. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of academic activities.

The successful applicant will provide clinical services for a range of patients including emergency, trauma and elective inpatients under the direct supervision of the Neurosurgery Department attending physicians and dually report to the Neurosurgery Patient Care...
