Physician Assistant - OR, Robotics - Per Diem

Description

Major functions include serving as a member of the surgical team to function as a Per Diem Physician Assistant for surgical service lines, not limited to but including Urology, General, Gynecology, Thoracic and Cardio-thoracic robotic surgical procedures in the Operating Room. Responsibilities will include collaboration with interdisciplinary team members, set up of the robotic cases, oversight of robotic instrumentation and hardware/software, communication with vendor, teaching of residents, fellows and nursing staff assigned to work for this surgical specialty, recording and storage of video records of procedures. Responsibilities of the Per Diem Physician's Assistant include setting up of the DaVinci robot for a surgical case, placement of trocars in conjunction with resident/fellow members of surgical team, and laparoscopic assistance during the procedure.
