Physician Assistant (PA) - Heart Institute - Outpatient

JOB SUMMARY:

This Critical Care Physician Assistant (PA) position is accountable for a defined patient population under the supervision of a licensed physician. The Critical Care PA is the primary provider of care to acute, critical, complex chronically ill and well neonates collaboratively with the Division of Neonatology. Implements the role of expert practitioner, consultant, educator, and researcher within a specialized area of patient care. Provides preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic healthcare services within the scope of licensure and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Some positions will be responsible for being on call according to a predetermined schedule or as needed, pursuant to hospital needs. This position is a Critical Care PA, which is defined as:

a. Clinically supervised by an ICU-credentialed physician.
b. Credentialed in Med Staff with critical-care-defined competencies/procedures.
