Job Description

Summary The outpatient psychiatrist performs general psychiatric assessment and treatment in a multidisciplinary setting and works closely with colleagues to provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art outpatient mental health care and is s a key participant in implementing the principles of the recovery model in mental health. The psychiatrist will work 2 days in person Fort Knox, Grayson 1 day in person, 1 day VVC, and eventually Elizabethtown 1 day VVC. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited too: The psychiatrist provides treatment for beneficiaries with general mental disorders in a variety of treatment settings including via video teleconferencing technology. The psychiatrist must be skilled in psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. The psychiatrist must be able to provide a comprehensive clinical/psychiatric summary.
