Physiotherapist - Musculoskeletal Outpatients

About the Role

Musculoskeletal Outpatients Physiotherapist – 0.5 FTE (20 hrs/week) – part‑time permanent position located primarily in the MSK outpatient department at New Plymouth, with additional work in rural sites (Hawera, Waitara, Stratford). The role involves close collaboration with Hand Therapists, Inpatient Physiotherapists and Orthopaedic Physiotherapists.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions in an outpatient setting.
• Educate patients on self‑management strategies and best‑practice arthritis and pain management.
• Work rostered weekend shifts and be on call as required, following a period of training and orientation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with Health New Zealand protocols.
