Job Description

Day & Ross is looking for a P & D Planner to manage the planning, organizing, and monitoring of freight to ensure optimal utilization of dock space, equipment, and freight movements.

How You’ll Help

• Creating routes/load plans that meet customer experience, operational efficiencies, and cost savings for the company and its driver/broker community.
• Reviewing route/load plans within the system and making necessary adjustments, including appointment freight.
• Triggering optimization when required to align the P & D plan.
• Ensuring all trailer and route planning complies with transportation laws and company policies regarding weight, distribution, ensuring compliance with dangerous goods regulations.
• Planning dock loading, unloading, and staging locations and monitoring dock door assignments.
