Pipe Fitter

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints, drawings and specifications to plan the layout and installation of pipes (e.g. overhead, underground)
• Measures, cuts, bevels, threads and bends pipes, tubings and ducts
• Secures pipes to walls and fixtures using brackets and clamps
• Joins / Connects pipes and components using welding and soldering techniques
• Tests piping system for leaks and piping system performance
• Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance
• Coordinates with other team members (e.g. electricians, plumbers etc.)
• Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time
