Irving Shipbuilding is searching for a skilled Pipefitter Journeyperson to enhance our team. In this role, you will interpret industrial blueprints, fabricate pipe arrangements, and provide mentorship to upcoming apprentices. Your experience in marine settings using various materials is essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret blueprints and layout specifications accurately
• Fabricate and fit pipe assemblies with valves
• Work with carbon steel and other pipe materials
• Instruct apprentices on practical pipefitting skills
• Comply with safety and health regulations
Requirements:
• Completion of technical training in pipefitting
• 5-8 years of marine or industrial experience
• Pipefitting certification is required
• WHMIS certified to ensure workplace safety
