Planner/Buyer I

**Position Summary**
Planner/Buyer is responsible for and manage purchasing of raw materials and services, materials requirements planning to maximize production efficiency, minimizing raw material and work in process inventory, and meeting customer's required dock dates.
Manage the supplier & customer relationship to align supply and demand for the operation.
**Responsibilities**
- Releases and manages production work orders in accordance with MRP, Kanban signals, production plan goals and related planning data.
- Reviews production capacity requirements: Monitors the reports and ensures capacity is available to meet the production plan.
- Release and manage raw material orders through the MRP system as necessary to meet production schedule.
- Works with customer service personnel on maintenance of promise dates to the customer and supporting any expedite' s requests, cancellations, etc.
