Planning Forester

Job Purpose
To assist the Planning Manager in generating regional, strategic, tactical and operational plans, ensure operational controls in execution, maintain and improve database management.
Key Responsibilities will be but not limited to:
· Provide key support in development of Regional and District tactical plans and contribute to APO preparation of harvesting, silviculture, planting plans (including seedling requirements).
· Assist in the development, analysis and management review against targets of the Estate budgets to ensure that the APO targets, unit rates and overall expenditure meet York's annual and monthly plan budgets.
· Manage the execution of the harvesting and silviculture APO.
· Assist Planning Manager with valuation of standing timber purchases.
· Provide support to operational staff in operational planning, ensuring standards are met according to business objectives.
· Month-end data capture and Works order processing.
