Planning Officer (Open Space)

About the role

As Planning Officer (Open Space) you will be part of the Open Space and Facilities team who are responsible for both strategic and infrastructure level planning for Ipswich’s many and diverse parks and sports facilities. Your focus will be on planning and providing advice on capital works projects for council park and sports facilities.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead and coordinate the identification and initial planning phase for council open space related projects, including liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all project outcomes have been considered.
• Deliver specialist advice that contributes to the 3 year capital works program and 10 year investment strategy for council’s open space projects, whilst considering preferred project timing requirements.
