Job Description
Become a Plant Operator for water distribution and collection in the City of Kawartha Lakes. Ensure compliance and safety in wastewater and water treatment operations.
This full-time role reports to the Supervisor and encompasses 40 hours of work weekly. You will directly engage in water distribution infrastructure and wastewater collection systems while performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Collaboration with the team ensures that both water quality and facility compliance are upheld at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain water distribution and wastewater systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs
• Inspect water quality through flushing and sampling
• Monitor trends and alarms at treatment facilities
• Respond to and investigate water-related customer inquiries
