Plumbing Estimator

Overview

Under the immediate supervision of the Estimating Manager, the Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates for materials, labor and equipment required to secure contracts.

The role of our estimator:

• Prepare an estimate of potential costs for materials, labor and equipment required to complete a project, based on bids, plans, specifications and estimates;
• Open bids and forward them to the estimating assistant;
• Identify insurance needs;
• Complete the submission review opening and follow up with the department manager;
• Read the specifications, general clauses and relevant checks in the architectural specifications;
• Request quotations from suppliers and subcontractors;
• Make a quotation from your software;
• Participate in bid closing with the chief estimator and department manager;
• Count site instructions;
• Participate in the start-up meeting to get acquainted; ...
