Podiatrist-Section Chief

Summary
This position is for a Section Chief of Podiatry at the William S. Middleton VA Hospital in Madison - WI and the Rockford - IL VA Clinic. This role is a board certified Podiatrist and educator responsible for leading the podiatry section within the Veterans Affairs facility. As the Section Chief in Podiatry - you will be asked to participate in the development - quality improvement - and teaching as it relates to your section needs.

Duties

• Duties include but are not limited to: Diagnosis and foot/ankle pathology - and identification of related systemic conditions
• Complete medical and surgical management of podiatric pathology
• Appropriate consultation - referral - and co-management of patients with complicating systemic conditions - and Health promotion and disease prevention
• Prescription of pharmaceuticals and therapeutic devices - (orthotics - prosthetic devices - plaster casts - immobilizations devices - etc.)
