The opportunity

We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Planner to take their policy and strategic planning expertise to the next level in this engaging and varied role. Joining our team of experts within the Plans and Places department , as a Policy Planner you’ll drive region-wide resource management policy. Heading towards plan review time, this role will include plan evaluation and solution finding. Partnering with a range of internal and external stakeholders, you will support the development of area spatial planning and place-making for specific locations within the region and make and lead the development of public plan changes, managing and reporting on private plan changes variations, notices of requirement and appeals and providing policy advice.
