HANAC, Inc. – originally founded by George Douris as the Hellenic American Neighborhood Action Committee – is a New York City-based multi-faceted social services organization. The organization was founded in 1972 to serve the needs of vulnerable populations throughout New York City.

Under the supervision of the Superintendent, the Day Porter will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and appearance of assigned areas, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all. May require minor repair and maintenance activities in public areas.

Work schedule: Monday - Sunday; (shift will be decided upon hire) 

Pay: $17 per hour

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

+ Perform custodial and commercial cleaning duties as assigned.

+ Maintain cleanliness of facilities through dusting, sweeping, mopping, and trash & recycling removal.
