Post Basic Qualified Pharmacist Assistant

Department: Pharmacy Operations
Reporting to: Responsible Pharmacist / Pharmacy Manager
Location: Zulzi Dark Store / Fulfilment Pharmacy (Johannesburg)
Role purpose: Provide pharmaceutical care support by accurately preparing, dispensing and processing prescriptions, ensuring legal compliance, great patient service, and safe handover for last-mile delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with sale/supply of Schedule 1–2 medicines and support dispensing workflows for Schedule 1–5 under pharmacist supervision.
Accurately capture and verify patient and script details on the dispensing system (incl. e-scripts).
Prepare prescriptions: select, pick, pack, label, and perform final checks before pharmacist sign-off.
Counsel patients/customers on correct medicine use, storage, basic interactions, and escalation to pharmacist where required.
Process medical aid claims: submit documentation, resolve rejections, explain co-payments/costs to customers.
