Post-Doctoral Associate in the Division of Science

Description

The Shubeita laboratory in the program of Physics, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a post-doctoral research associate to work on unravelling principles that drive cellular organization.

The successful applicant will lead research projects to study the interplay between active cytoskeletal transport, cytoskeletal organization, and the physical driving forces of macromolecular crowding. Research will take place within a multidisciplinary group of postdoctoral and predoctoral researchers trained in physics, biology, and chemistry with whom the successful candidate will collaborate closely.

Applicants must have a PhD in physics or a related field. Excellent analytical skills are required. Prior experience in the experimental techniques used in the lab such as optical tweezers and quantitative imaging is advantageous but not required.
