Context & Job description

Serial Synchrotron Crystallography is now a standard tool for structural biology at ESRF. It has applications at both room temperature and cryogenic temperatures with and without time resolution. Although significant progress has been made in experimental design, sample delivery, data collection strategies and data analysis, challenges remain. One such challenge is the de-segregation of mixed populations of structural data. The origin of this diversity could be due to a number of phenomena, including, but not limited to, radiation damage, (de)hydration and incomplete penetration of ligands or light.

This postdoctoral position will be focused on applying previously developed machine learning techniques to single image serial experiments. Application and refinement of these approaches will be applied to both in house data as well as data collected by external research groups at the ESRF. As for all post-doctoral researchers in ...
