Activities: This project is a collaboration with Prof. Jochen Schmid (University of Münster, Germany) that integrates metabolic engineering and exopolysaccharide production into the work to be developed at the SãoCarlosInstitute of Chemistry of the University of São Paulo (Brazil), namely, the deconstruction of lignocellulosic fibers, the development of hydrogels, and syntheses aimed at producing, for example, bio-based polyurethane (PU) films.
