Postal Clerk

***This position is physically located in the Philippines in support of LOGCAP***

This position is responsible for overseeing the movement, sorting, and distribution of mail for LOGCAP. The clerk performs a variety of detailed accounting duties concerning mail under minimal supervision and guidance.

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

• Safeguard all mail and always maintain high security of the postal facility.
• Loads/unloads mail trucks. Verify mail pieces on incoming mail manifest. Prepares outgoing mail manifest.
• Separate accountable mail from ordinary mail.
• If x-ray machine is available, randomly X-ray selected mailbags and parcels, and suspicious mail for incendiary explosive devices and other prohibited items, notify supervisor.
