Postdoc Research Associate (Proteomics/Metaproteomics)

What We Are Looking For

The in the Departments of Biology and Chemistry & Biochemistry at Baylor University is seeking a postdoctoral research associate with expertise in proteomics/metaproteomics. 

The Wright Group is focused on phenotype-driven studies of gut and oral microbiomes. Within this focus, the research group has a strong program in the characterization and quantification of proteins from complex, host-associated microbiomes. This position will develop novel quantitative metaproteomics approaches to characterizing the gut microbiome in inflammatory bowel disease. 

We are hoping to extend our expertise by identifying exceptionally motivated individuals with a . in chemistry, biochemistry or biological sciences with significant training and hands-on expertise in mass spectrometry, quantitative proteomics, and bioinformatics and must have excellent communication skills and team work ability.
