RESPONSIBILITIES
:The Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) is looking for a Postdoc Researcher to be part of the groups of Genomics of ancient crops and domestication and Rosaceae Genetics and Genomics. CRAG Researchers led by Laura Botigué and Raúl Castanera have generated a super-pangenome for Brassica and Pea, featuring an extensive representation of domestic varieties, landraces and crop wild relatives.
The candidate will be in charge of:
- Analysing SV in the pangenome of Brassica that are close to genes and may have been involved in the domestication process.
- Analysing whole genome SNP variability in a collection of Brassicas aligned to the the super-pagenome, assessing whole genome variability and identifying regions of the genome potentially under positive selection.
