Postdoctoral Fellow (Biochemical Engineering)

Job Description

The Chemical Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a postdoctoral fellow in the area of biochemical and bioprocess engineering. The postdoctoral fellow should have expertise in downstream bioprocessing for microorganisms and bioproducts. The candidate should be able to cultivate, extract and characterize biomolecules from different sources. The preferred candidate should have experience in the field of biotechnology and process optimization.

Minimum Qualifications

• PhD in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering or related fields
• Able to work independently in a self‑directed manner
• Good technical writing skills and administration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in bioprocessing and microalgae upstream and downstream processes
• Adaptable and flexible to research demands
