Job Description

The Wang Laboratory at MD Anderson Cancer Center is a computational biology research lab. We apply innovative bioinformatics approaches to dissect the tumor 'ecosystem', deeply profile tumor cells and cells of the tumor microenvironment as well as tumor-immune-stroma crosstalk at single-cell resolution and in the spatial context. The lab's key focus areas include: 1) Transition from premalignant lesions to invasive cancer; 2) Evolution of metastasis from a localized tumor; 3) Dynamic response to anti-cancer therapies and the development of therapeutic resistance. Leveraging cutting-edge single-cell and spatial multi-omics technologies, cellular imaging, and innovative bioinformatics tools and computational frameworks, we aim to harness the potential of big data to fight cancer. Our overarching goal is to advance our understanding of the cellular & molecular cues underlying early tumorigenesis, disease progression, and the development of therapy resistance and translate our novel di...
