Description Job Title: Power Crew Operator Reports To : Mine Electrical Supervisor Location : New Mexico – East Plant OVERVIEW A Power Crew Operator is responsible for assisting in moving, relocating and installing power distribution from underground substations to area transformers throughout the mine. This position requires the ability to work safely, whether independently or within a team, an attention to detail, familiarity with operating heavy machinery. JOB DUTIES Advance and retreat area and miner transformers in working panels Set up, hang and retrieve high voltage cables to advance primary and secondary power feed to mining equipment. Perform area moves, involving operating mining equipment such as, roof bolters, battery and cable cars, intake and exhaust fans Conduct pre-shift inspections to ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently Follow and adhere to written instructions when opening and closing electrical circuits at substations and di...
