We are looking for a Power Engineer to join our team to fill an existing vacancy. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team and must have a 3rd Class Certificate or higher at the time of applying for the position. The starting hourly rate of pay is $38.71 and after approximately two (2) months of training will move to $43.63. Shift workers are scheduled to work a four on, four off 12-hour shift rotation and are paid shift and Sunday premiums.
Skills and Responsibilities:
- Monitors all processes and equipment in the steam plant and/or recovery department,
- Operate and maintain low- and high-pressure steam systems,
- Operate equipment to support various production units including turbines, pumps, compressors, cooling towers and gas systems,
