Assistant Operator / 4th class: starting wage $32.55 per hour

Junior Operator / 3rd class: starting wage $35.05 per hour

Senior Operator / Shift Engineer / 2nd class: starting wage $37.51 per hour

Requirements

Experience with operating boiler equipment via DCS & their auxiliaries is an asset.

Willing to learn in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Participation in the current training matrix for progression toward the next highest Power Engineering license.

Strong level of maturity, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Performs testing on all boilers and condensate systems.

Assists with the operation of gas boilers.

Adjusts chemical feed rates to maintain residuals.

Visually checks equipment under his care (fans, stokers, grates, dampers, valves, and controllers) on all levels of the Steam & Effluent Plant.

Blows down water columns and gauge glasses.
