Principal Developer, AI & Developer Team (Canada)

We are seeking a Principal Developer to lead AI and developer integration initiatives. The role reports to the VP of Engineering and will shape 1Password’s technical integration strategy with the wider security ecosystem.

Responsibilities

This highly technical position operates at the intersection of development and agentic solutions, making key architectural decisions and driving R&D. The responsibilities include:

• Evaluate and define integration paths with key partners and design reference architectures.
• Prototype next‑generation solutions that extend 1Password’s platform into emerging domains such as agentic AI, new communication protocols, browser, and runtime‑based security controls.
